Labelexpo Europe 2015 Set to Emphasize on Package Printing
This autumn, when Labelexpo Europe 2015 returns to Brussels, the core subject it will focus upon is package printing.
In its 35 year history, this upcoming show is set to be the biggest ever edition. It is scheduled to be held from September 29 to October 2 at Belgium’s Brussels Expo.
The show is aimed to attract trade professionals including brand owners, label and package printers, as well as designers. The show’s spotlight will be firmly on the profitable commercial opportunities package print production offers. Visitors coming to the show will be able to source and see the latest label and package printing solutions from more than 600 exhibitors.
In this show, the new technology brought by the successful REVO team is worth looking forward to. The team consists of Flint Group, Nuova Gidue, UPM Raflatac, AVT, Apex International, Esko, DuPont and Adare Group. It is set to display how flexible packaging can be converted by using UV flexo inks with low migration rate.
At present, a majority of food-grade flexible packaging is printed with solvent gravure or either water-based or solvent flexo inks. Since the photo-initiators in UV can migrate, if not fully cured, use of UV is considered to be challenging.
The REVO team proclaims to have developed a technology that guarantees every meter of film within a roll to be fully cured, and consistent matching of brand colours by a seven-colour process ink set.
What’s More in Store for those interested in Flexible Packaging at Labelexpo Europe 2015?
Spread over an unprecedented 8 halls, Labelexpo Europe 2015 is scheduled to play host to several educational feature areas. If you head to The Packprint Workshop, you will get practical insight into how printers can branch out and expand their business.
This will be facilitated by Nilpeter demonstrating its FA flexo press, ideal for flexible packaging capabilities. Xeikon will also play its part, with press demonstrations using its 3500 for digital folding cartons.
The package printing systems presented by HP Indigo and partners will be another interesting element. This is due to the return of the feature area – Print Your Future. Visitors can see a variety of applications, including shrink sleeves, flexible packaging and labels, along with new advanced inks and colour management tools. Both the WS6800 Digital Presses and HP Indigo 20000 will be on display.
According to Labelexpo Global Series’ M.D – Lisa Milburn, 53% of Labelexpo’s exhibitors will be showing products for flexible packaging while 32% will display products for folding cartons.
This will make Labelexpo Europe 2015 offer all printers the most wide-ranging array of heat seal printing solutions available today.
Labelexpo Europe 2022 is Cancelled

At the same time, the Label Industry Global Awards recognise the most innovative brands and products in the industry. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just getting started in the label printing business, Labelexpo is sure to have something for you.
Sad news for the participants, Labelexpo Europe 2022 has been postponed to September 11–14, 2023, due to the problems in the supply chain and the situation in Ukraine. The event was originally scheduled for 6-9 September 2022, but due to the ongoing impacts of Covid-19, it was decided that postponing to 2023 would give exhibitors and visitors more certainty. While it’s disappointing that the event has been postponed, it’s understandable given the current circumstances. Hopefully, next year’s event will be a success!
