Xeikon opens a Second Technology Centre in Asia Pacific Region
Xeikon is a renowned name in the domain of digital colour printing technology. The company has strengthened its presence in the Asia Pacific Region by opening its second Technology Centre recently. Located in Tokyo, this centre represents Xeikon’s constant growth and expansion in the region.
The grand opening ceremony of the centre included a Xeikon Café that featured several educational partner presentations. For this exciting event, over 50 invited guests along with trade journalists joined the corporation.Win Maes, Xeikon’s CEO, said the company is experiencing an exceptional and continued growth in the region. He also declared that they were very pleased with the inauguration of their Technology Centre in Japan.
Maes said this high-tech facility will play a key role in encouraging the companies growth in Japan. According to him, it will also help the company’s Japanese customers get the optimum return on their investments in Xeikon.
For some time now, the Japanese packaging and printing community has been requesting the company for benchmarking, testing and product demonstrations. The new Technology Centre will focus on all these aspects. It will also act as a significant setting for personal meetings, which are extremely important in the Japanese culture.
Maes said he was very proud of the company’s Japanese team, who organised and accomplished the grand opening event successfully.
Role of Xeikon’s New Technology Centre
The new centre uses Xeikon technology for the production of labels and packaging applications as well as for documents and commercial printing applications. This technology consists of 3500 digital press, which is designed for printing of folding containers.
The centre will help visitors learn about the brand new Xeikon CX3 empowered with Cheetah technology, ideal for top quality label printing. Xeikon 9800 used for document printing will also be on display.
At the opening ceremony, Atsushi Yamabe, Xeikon’s M.D for Japan, and Wim Maes welcomed the visitors. In the display area, Mr. Yamabe demonstrated the Xeikon 3500. Bent Serritslev, M.D of Asia Pacific (ASPAC), talked about the company’s portfolio.
Serritslev said that the company would continue its development in the region. He added that they have already started experiencing this centre’s benefits with very positive feedback flowing in from the visitors. The centre also received good coverage in the Japanese trade press, thanks to the massive journalist attendance during the grand opening event.
