Moo

Ingenious. Foil Packaging designers have been on overdrive in recent years. Insane competition to come up with the next clever idea. It started with tetra pack bottles and evolved into designs like the innocent drinks packaging. Which was as nice to read as it was to look at. Now we have milk bottles shaped like cows udders. I don’t know whats next? Coconut water bottles shaped like a coconut maybe? Probably already exists. I need to think bigger. : )

Clever Packaging Trends for 2023
In today's world, where we care more about making informed choices, we're excited about the packaging trends of 2023. These trends do more than just show us what's inside; they give each product its own special personality. One of the standout trends is all about showing the ingredients in a fun and colourful way.

Vivid Ingredient Illustrations
In today's world, where transparency in our choices matters more than ever, we find delight in the packaging design trends of 2023. These trends don't just capture the essence of what's inside but also give each product a distinct personality. A standout among these trends is the artful presentation of ingredients, illustrated in vibrant and playful palettes.

This innovative approach not only appeals to the conscientious consumer keen on knowing what goes into their products but also serves as a delightful means of distinguishing different flavours or variations. The imagery adopted in this trend leans toward the whimsical and youthful, evoking cherished memories of childhood and radiating wholesome charm.

With a fresh burst of juicy colours and a less formal artistic style, featuring doodles and vibrant sketches, this design approach transforms product packaging into a canvas of fun and allure.

Tactile Delights
In the quest to make packaging that leaves an unforgettable impression, brands are now exploring the world of tactile textures. This movement embraces techniques like embossing and debossing, where packaging rises and recedes in intricate patterns, die-cut designs that carve artistic windows into the packaging, and the addition of foil printing, introducing a touch of reflective metal to the mix.

The use of these printing techniques not only elevates the perceived value of the product but also brings a sense of sophistication and luxury often associated with high-end brands. As our lives become increasingly digital, this packaging design trend reconnects us with the power of touch, adding an extra dimension to the consumer experience.

Beyond visual aesthetics, the textural sensation of these packages appeals to more than just our sight. It adds a tactile element that resonates with the senses, creating a deeper connection between the product and the consumer.

Mascot Marvels: Unveiling Product Uniqueness
Gone are the days of static, unchanging mascots. Brands are ushering in a new era where mascots embrace diversity across product types and flavours. This contemporary shift infuses fresh vitality into these brand ambassadors, outfitting them with new attire, gestures, and attitudes to mirror the essence of each product.

These subtle yet intriguing mascot variations encompass a delightful array of outfits and activities. This transformation injects a playful and whimsical charm into the branding landscape without compromising the essence of cohesion. It's a masterful technique to unify an entire product line while endearing shoppers to the diversity and vibrancy of the offerings.

Vivid Spectrum: The Art of Ecstatic Colours
In the dynamic world of packaging design, 2023 marks the rise of ecstatic colours, a bold departure from the mundane. These lively and eye-catching hues shun formality in favour of unabashed visual allure. Ecstatic colours are the vanguard for those who seek to make their packaging unmistakably noticed.

Their bold, highly saturated, and vibrant characteristics exude confidence and fearlessness. Yet, what truly sets them apart is their playful and whimsical nature, offering a glimpse of hope and lightheartedness as we forge ahead.

Cartoon Chronicles: The Allure of Whimsy
Cartoons have an enduring charm. The cute aesthetics and the wild scenarios they depict transport us back to the whimsical days of childhood. Integrating these delightful characters into your packaging not only foregrounds their charm but also bolsters a brand's identity.

In 2023, packaging cartoons take on a classic, minimalist style reminiscent of newspaper comics. These illustrations appear as though they've been sketched with quick, effortless strokes, embracing their imperfections with a touch of whimsical wobble. These endearing idiosyncrasies add to the overall silliness and goofy charm of the cartoons, evoking a sense of nostalgia and mirth.

Innovative Product Imagery
Product visuals are a cornerstone of packaging design, traditionally employed to provide a glimpse of the package's contents. However, 2023 ushers in a departure from the norm as product visuals break free from conventional representations, embracing abstract, geometric, and minimalist shapes.

This avant-garde approach challenges the conventional practice of simply placing the product on the packaging. Instead, it cleverly alludes to what lies within by utilising loose or abstract interpretations of the product. This not only plays with our expectations but also invites a sense of creative freedom in expression. The result is a collection of revolutionary product designs with a distinctly creative twist.

Resurgent '70s Aesthetic
The allure of '70s vintage never truly fades; it simply takes a hiatus for a few years before making a triumphant return. In the wake of the pandemic, the warm colour palettes and soothing, undulating imagery of the 1970s are experiencing a well-deserved resurgence, gracing everything from home decor to fashion and packaging design trends.
Aesthetically, the '70s vintage style draws from earthy colour schemes, particularly in shades of rich browns and vibrant oranges, accompanied by bubbly serif fonts and thick, whimsical patterns. This design trend invokes a sense of breezy nostalgia and a celebration of individualism with a groovy twist.
