VpCI® 145 is a specialised packaging paper that can protect your valuable items from static electricity buildup and corrosion. This unique product combines both corrosion-inhibiting and static-dissipative properties
This paper inhibitor uses an eco-friendly soybean oil coating. It outperforms conventional anti-static coatings like Alkyl Ammonium Chlorides, imidazolines, ethoxylated amines, phosphate esters, and nonionic-based antistat coatings in the static half-life test, especially in low-humidity environments.
The antistatic protection of VpCI® 145 remains thermally stable at temperatures exceeding 392ºF (200ºC) and pH stable between 2 and 11, even in temperatures above 100ºF (38ºC) for several days.
In addition to its excellent static-dissipative properties, VpCI® 145 provides contact, vapor, and barrier phase corrosion inhibition for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. With this, it meets the performance specification and requirements of MIL-PRF-3420G.
Typical Applications
This innovative product serves as a protective solution for various materials susceptible to damage from electrostatic discharge. Its unique properties make it ideal for safeguarding sensitive items such as
- Printed circuit boards.
- Integrated circuits.
- PCB components.
- Telecommunications equipment.
- Electrical panels.
- Enclosures.
- Batteries.
- Other materials that contain multiple metals and involve electrical components.
With VpCI 145, you can ensure long-lasting protection against corrosion while effectively dissipating static electricity, making it an indispensable choice for diverse industrial applications.

Environmentally Friendly: This product is non-toxic and does not contain harmful substances such as nitrites, phosphates, silicones, chromates, or heavy metals. Thus, it is safe for users and the environment.
Sustainable Packaging: VpCI® 145 is fully recyclable and repulpable, contributing to waste reduction and promoting eco-friendly practices.
Versatile Protection: VpCI® 145 effectively guards against aggressive environments. These environments include high humidity, exposure to SO2 and H2S gases, and galvanic corrosion caused by dissimilar metal combinations.
Method of Application
VpCI® 145 is a type of Static Dissipative Corrosion Inhibiting Paper designed to protect metal surfaces from corrosion during storage.
First, clean metal surfaces and dry them completely. Then package the products immediately. Make sure the inhibitor paper is as close as possible to the surface for protection. There should be no barrier between the paper and the metal surface.
For effective and maximum protection, these standards work:
- a 1 square foot (0.09 m2) VpCI paper is sufficient for every 3 square feet of metal and for every 0.5 cubic feet of void space, 1 square foot (0.09 m2) VpCI paper.
Furthermore, if long-term storage will reach ten years, it is advisable to enclose the wrapped product in an airtight package. This will maintain the effectiveness of the corrosion-inhibiting properties of VpCI 145 over an extended period.
Standard Construction
VpCI® 145 is a type of Static Dissipative Corrosion Inhibiting Paper with a Standard Construction. It is crafted from neutral natural kraft paper that has been coated with VpCI and a static dissipative substance. The coating features a printed logo on the reverse side, and this paper is also offered in creped form.
