Cortec EcoSonic® VpCI ® 125 Static Dissipative Film & Bags are distinctive in their capacity to safeguard materials against ESD damage and corrosion.

This film mixes the best static dissipation qualities and protection for different metal corrosion. Cortec® VpCI® films and bags are upgraded and can replace traditional rust preventive measures such as desiccants and oils. These packaging materials allow you to use your product immediately. You don't need to wash or degrease.

The EcoSonic® VpCI® Bags 125 efficiently safeguard devices against electrostatic discharge. EcoSonic® VpCI® 125 meets the static decay standards and surface resistivity on packaging materials (MIL-PRF-81705 D). EcoSonic® 125 is harmless and doesn't contain dangerous Prop 65 chemicals.

EcoSonic® VpCI® 125 has been tested to provide up to three years of corrosion prevention and two years of ESD protection.

Packaging & Storage of Dissipative film & bags

For product's best performance, store using the original packaging. Keep them indoors and out of direct exposure to sunlight. When storing, storage should be at 40-100 °F (4-38 °C).

Advantages

  • Powered by Vapour Corrosion Inhibitors (VpCI®) to protect recessed areas and spaces.
  • Protects ferrous & nonferrous metals with VpCI®.
  • Prevents ESD (electrostatic) damage.
  • No effect on optical properties.
  • No effect on plastics in electronic industry.
  • No harmful components such as free amines or other hazardous Prop 65 ingredients.
  • No effect on PCB or parts solder-ability (IPC-J-STD-003C).

Sizes

Sizes of EcoSonic® VpCI® are available in customised bags. All bags are heat-sealable. Other options include zipper closure form, tubing and film.

Available options in thickness are between 2 and 6 mils (50 up to 150 microns). Maximum tube size is 50” (1.3 m).

Metals Protected

EcoSonic® VpCI® produces a molecular coating on metallic substrates that does not alter the chemical or physical characteristics of electronic parts.

Metals that EcoSonic® 125 safeguards are:

  • Nickel.
  • Solder.
  • Aluminum, alloys.
  • Brass.
  • Copper, alloys.
  • Steel.

If you can't find a specific metal in the list, contact Cortec® Technical Service for more information and details on protection.

Performance

ESD properties conform to MIL-PRF-81705 D:

  • Surface resistivity between 105 and 1012 Ω.
  • Static decay rate <2 sec.
