Is polypropylene toxic to humans?

Polypropylene has not been known to be toxic to humans.

However, heating food in microwaves with polypropylene packaging can release small amounts of gas, making it unsafe for baby formula. However, when it comes to heat sealing, polypropylene is a great choice. It’s a durable, reliable material which has been used in a wide range of industries across the world.
